places to go and the people to know - in my humble opinion, of course!

Writing Organizations and Writing Groups:

Pennwriters - a great writers' organization that has a yearly convention as well
as special seminars and local writing groups!

Ligonier Valley Writers - based primarily in the Southwestern Pennsylvania
area, this group also holds a yearly convention as well as writing contests.

Jozart Studios/64 Crayons - organised and led by Fred Lapisardi, this local
writing group meets weekly. An excellent group of peeps!


Writing Bulletin Boards:

Absolute Write - the first, the BEST place to get all your information about
writing, writers, agents and publishers. A great community filled with
knowledgeable people from published authors to renowned agents to
publishers!
